Play 101 Funky Slap Bass Riffs with Jim Lee
Jim Lee describes himself as a musician and visual artist. Jim was born-n-raised in Midwest Ohio, and currently lives in California. Jim started playing the violin at five and now plays the bass, guitar & drums.
Jim previously played guitar for the Unknown, a punk band. Then played bass in a blues rock trio called Slick Feet. Next was the Dempsey Project, in which he was the singer/drummer.
Jim loves to write & record music...and has been recording since 1991.
Jims Funkychops Bass method is designed to make learning the bass fun as well as simplifying things. Don’t expect to get bogged down with loads of theory because we found that Jim will soon have you playing along by ear. Each exercise is demonstrated and has 3 play speeds so that you can start slow and as your confidence builds so does the speed.
As Jim says, I wanted FunkyChops to have a bass player friend approach. Suppose you had a friend who played a riff. You say "cool, I like that...can you play it again slower?" Sure, with FunkyChops you can.
We found that this course was not only easy to follow, but was actually fun and we all know that we learn easier if we are enjoying the lessons. The course has loads of video and audio, and because of the variable play speeds is suitable for the novice as well as the more proficient player. So for less than you would pay for a couple of private lessons you will be playing like you had always been a player.
